In reply to Anna. Hey Anna, it's not needed for Nicaragua, so don't worry about it. You might still want to get some other basic shots (e.g. Hep A or Typhoid) but it's not an entry requirement.

In reply to Marie. We just crossed the boarder, over land from Costa Rica. No problems there. Only with our drone, but you just need to fill out a form.

If you want to enter into Nicaragua you need to do a pre-apply else you need to wait at the border and the officers aren’t very pleased. It is only needed for overland crossings. I hope this helps someone and maybe you can add this to the article.

Have you visited Esteli? Esteli is not so hot city like Granada or San Juan del Sur, and it’s cheaper than both cities.

In reply to Marek Indietraveller. In 2015, yes. We have 2 more Costa Rica house sits, a Panama house sit at Xmas and then maybe one on Ometepe Island in Feb. After that it's all systems go for travelling north! :)
